Conference Agenda (June 5)

9am

Prepare for a rapid-fire injection of product wisdom!

We’ll start the day with Christian Idiodi, Gib Biddle, Heather Samarin, and Dan Olsen!

Here’s a sneak peek into what they’ll be speaking about:

Christian Idiodi offers us an insightful keynote on the current and future state of product management. Drawing from his extensive experience working with companies worldwide, Christian will share his perspectives on how the role of product management is evolving in response to rapid technological and market changes like generative AI. He’ll discuss the changes that will inevitably impact product management, while also highlighting what core principles will remain essential for success. Whether you’re a seasoned product leader or just starting your product career, you won’t want to miss this session.

Heather Samarin shares what it really means to be product led—and how best-in-class companies bring that to life. In this session, she’ll break down the core mindsets that define product-led organizations and explore how they show up in everyday decision-making. You’ll see what the shift looks like in practice, and walk away with a few simple, actionable steps you can take tomorrow to start driving real impact as a product leader.

Many new product initiatives fail because the team was more focused on the solution they were building than the customer problem. Dan Olsen will share advice from his bestselling product book The Lean Product Playbook on how to define customer problems before you start building. Dan will explain his powerful but simple Importance vs. Satisfaction framework to help you prioritize opportunities, illustrated with real case studies. Come learn how to increase your odds of product success.

In 2023, Gib Biddle and his wife, Kristen Hege, hiked the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail, from the Mexican border to Canada, along the peaks of the Sierra and Cascade Mountains. Gib’s inspirational talk reflects on their adventure, drawing parallels to the management and leadership challenges of fast-paced tech companies and your career.

These dynamic keynotes deliver cutting-edge insights from leading product thinkers.

2pm

Sharpen your product toolkit with keynotes from thought leaders, starting with the power of community in the age of AI with Phyl Terry, and finishing with thought-provoking talks on the use of AI for product managers with Kene Anoliefo and Ravi Mehta.

Phyl Terry kicks off the afternoon with his perspective on our lives in an age of astonishing technological change—one that’s reshaping not only jobs, but how we define intelligence itself. Yet in the rush toward AI, he shares that we risk overlooking one of the most powerful forces for human success: community. In this talk, Phyl Terry—author of Never Search Alone and Customers Included—draws on 40 years of building trusted peer communities, including launching the Product Councils 20+ years ago. A pioneer in product management, Phyl’s firm advised companies like Apple, Microsoft, and Meta, and even counted Marty Cagan as a client more than two decades ago. Phyl shows how well-designed support groups consistently lower stress, increase confidence, and unlock collective intelligence—something we need more than ever in today’s AI-driven world

Kene Anoliefo then walks us through how product managers can leverage no-code AI prototyping tools like Loveable and v0.dev to rapidly create functional prototypes and then get feedback from real customers using AI-powered user interviews, creating a seamless workflow from idea → test → validation → iteration.

We end with Ravi Mehta sharing how in, this era where AI capabilities are rapidly becoming commoditized, the secret to winning isn’t having the most advanced AI—it’s about how you combine it with what’s uniquely yours. This keynote reveals how successful AI products avoid both “sprinkling AI fairy dust” and “reinventing the wheel” by taking a strategic building block approach that combines widely-available AI capabilities with your proprietary data and functionality. Learn how to evaluate which of your existing assets create true value, and how to combine them with AI to create features competitors simply cannot replicate—even when they have access to the same models.

Our afternoon highlights techniques for communication and persuasive storytelling. Explore the transformative power of AI in product development, from ethical considerations to practical applications.
